Some breeds require professional dog grooming but in between visits to the the groomers you will find a great range of dog grooming products from brushes to shampoo and conditioner.

Keeping your dog well groomed will not only make him look fabulous it is also a great chance for you to bond with your dog and also to check his coat, skin, and paws for any potential problems.

We recommend at least a weekly home dog grooming session. Make sure you have all the tools you require before you start your grooming session. That way all the grooming products are at hand when you need them.

Even if your dog does not need his nails clipping we recommend that you 'pretend' to clip them just so your pooch gets used to you handling his paws and is not frightened by the nail clippers.

Grooming your dog on a regular basis is better than leaving it all until it is a major event which may not be a pleasurable experience for you or your dog. Little and often is our motto when grooming your dog.

If your dog needs a bath give him a good brush to remove and lose fur and remove and knots or tangles. Then if you are bathing your dog make sure you are using a dog shampoo not human shampoo! We have a huge range many of which are tailored to specific skin conditions. Once out of the bath give your dog another brush through and check ears and eyes are clean.

Check if your dog's nails need a trim. We do not recommend bathing your dog excessively and once a month should be more than enough for most dogs.
